The carrier is introducing no-cost high-speed in-flight wifi through Starlink agreement

Passengers flying with the airline will soon use fast internet in the air free of charge following a recent partnership with SpaceX's satellite provider.

No-cost and Quick Connectivity Across the Board

The airline announced that the complimentary, “reliable and lightning-fast” internet offering from SpaceX will be available to customers in economy, business, and premium cabins starting next month.

Widespread Rollout Throughout Multiple Carriers

The umbrella company for British Airways, International Airlines Group, announced it had finalized an deal involving SpaceX to provide wifi services on 500-plus aircraft across the group's carriers, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus Vueling.

Seamless Wifi starting at Boarding to Landing

BA noted that the rollout of this system was included in a multi-billion pound “upgrade” program and would deliver lag-free internet service to flyers from the gate through landing, including when traveling over seas or isolated areas.

Travelers can connect several gadgets and they will not need a special login.

“Gamechanging for British Airways and travelers, elevating the journey onboard our flights by giving passengers continuous wifi from gate to gate.”

Present Wifi Options

Basic wifi access remains available to British Airways flyers through most of the airline's jets via the .air service.

Members in BA’s loyalty club are able to send messages and text-based messages during flights at no cost, whereas passengers who want to watch music, films, and movies throughout the journey if not travelling in premium cabins can expect to pay between four pounds ninety-nine and £21.99 for a connectivity package.
