England Manager Tuchel Insists No Problem with Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, or Jack Grealish

Press Description: The England Coach discussing the Real Madrid Star

Thomas Tuchel stated that he holds "no problem" with Jude Bellingham after these players were omitted the Three Lions team for upcoming matches against Latvia and Wales.

The midfielder has not been recalled despite returning from a shoulder issue, whereas the Manchester City and Everton players also miss out despite showing a return to form with their clubs.

The German manager mentioned that the 22-year-old wanted to be part of the squad, after a conversation with him via telephone.

"Bellingham is a unique talent, and for special players there can often be exceptions," Tuchel said about the Real Madrid star, who has made just one start since coming back to full health.

"However we decided to maintain the straightforward decision of inviting the identical squad.

"Jude consistently merits to be here. There is also the situation that he has not quite found his full rhythm yet at his club - he has not completed a full match.

"He expressed a desire to be selected. We conducted a telephone conversation."

The England boss was keen to highlight his good rapport with the midfielder after he apologized to him previously for describing his on-pitch behavior as "disgusting" in a televised interview.

Tuchel stated that he used the words "without meaning to" and promised to be more cautious in future.

When asked if he had a problem with the player, he responded: "No. There is also no problem with Foden or Grealish.

"Phil is returning to impacting and deciding games for his club. Grealish is almost to being back to the top form of himself.

"There exists no personal issue."

Bukayo Saka taking the place of the injured Madueke is the only change to last month's team, with Loftus-Cheek and Quansah retaining their places after being last-minute call-ups previously due to injury.

England play Wales in a friendly at Wembley on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in Riga on 14 October.

If England triumph in Latvia, they will need a up to two points from their remaining two matches - against Serbia and Albania in next month - to earn a place in next summer's tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Strong Performance By Tuchel

The Three Lions delivered their best display significantly under Tuchel's leadership when they beat the Serbian team five-nil on the road in Belgrade last time out.

Tuchel says that performance made it an straightforward choice to stick with largely the identical group, though "there exist absolutely no guarantees" for any player regarding selection.

"The last camp was only a few weeks ago and the cohesion and morale was on the highest level. That is the reason we chose to call up the identical players to this camp," he commented.

"Foden is in a excellent run of form. Wharton deserves to be with us. Curtis Jones and Chalobah are earning minutes with their teams.

"There are players who deserve to be here. Palmer is unfit and is a key talent. It will consistently remain like this.

"Are we a stronger side with Bellingham? Absolutely. But I mentioned before, what do we do if he is injured before the tournament? Do we just cancel?"

The Manager's Media Briefing Gets Noticed

The England manager again delivered a headline-grabbing news conference.

Tuchel, a master of managing his interactions with the media, started with an opening statement to explain his thinking for his decisions.

Bellingham is ready to play and wanted to join to camp, but the coach explained he preferred not to change the team significantly after a statement five-goal victory over their opponents - where the manager noted unity was extremely strong.

But with Tuchel not including the star, and his repeated remarks about togetherness, it is hard not to link the aspects - even though Tuchel insisted repeatedly how Bellingham is "exceptional" and that there is "no problem" between Tuchel and one of England's star players.

The England manager has consistently made it evident that he wanted to make the national team feel like a club team and, by keeping the same squad after a statement win, he has achieved that. But the inquiries will arise once more in the next camp if the team perform strongly in these upcoming fixtures.
